Well I went to my wonderful Grandpa Joe's house today. He is so awesome. We play Rummy every time I'm at his house and every time I kick his butt at it. It's so much fun. We went to Baker's Square and in honor of Marilyn I got a slice of candy cane pie. It was my grandpa's birthday. He is 82. It's scary to see the changes in him that there has been since I was about five. He randomly forgets things, like how many cards to deal. But other than his memory he seems pretty good. He is still very much heart broken over his wife Sylvia, dying this Summer.
After that we went to Orland Park which is very much covered with snow and quite lovely. I have pictures but am much too lazy to post them right now. I'm exhausted. Orland Park makes Portage look so boring. I love it there. Shannah, you would have passed out. We went to a mall and there was a bunch of coach stores and dooney and whats his face stores. The only good part of the mall was the massage that I got for a dollar.
I am writing a serious story right now. It's not insane. Yeah, serious. Weird.
Ana Laura is an amazing singer. I bought her cd months ago but never really listened to it until today. Ahhh...the lyrics are so good.
All this time
All this trying to beat human nature
It's still holding on to me
I'm made to run
But I was meant to be free
But still I'm broken
In need of someone to rescue me
Sometimes I burn
Sometimes I lose my way
But when I fall
That's not where I'll stay
Sometimes I burn
Sometimes I make mistakes
I will fall
But when I fall
I fall into grace
I'll let you down
If you're looking to me
To be perfection
This side of eternity
So hear me now
Here the words that I speak
I see redemption
But i'm not yet complete
It's still holding on to me
I'm made to run
But I was meant to be free
But still I'm broken
In need of someone to rescue me
Sometimes I burn
Sometimes I lose my way
But when I fall
That's not where I'll stay
Sometimes I burn
Sometimes I make mistakes
I will fall
But when I fall
I fall into grace
I'll let you down
If you're looking to me
To be perfection
This side of eternity
So hear me now
Here the words that I speak
I see redemption
But i'm not yet complete
